Work Weekend is our most concentrated volunteer effort each Spring. Getting Joy of Living Camp ready for a busy summer of ministry is a daunting task, especially after the harsh winter months and a busy retreat season.

Believing that "many hands makes for light work," we are grateful for the gift of your time and talents. The weekend is free, but we do ask that you register in advance so we can adequately plan for housing and meals.

There will be work for both skilled and unskilled workers. We'll need both men and women.  Young people are welcome, but to stay overnight minors must be accompanied by an adult. Thank you for understanding. The work will be inside and outside, heavy and light, and will take place no matter the weather.

Meals start with Saturday breakfast at 7:30 AM and we eat well!!

Arrive Friday evening (snack at 8:30 PM). Saturday includes three meals, a devotional, morning and afternoon work, and a time of relaxation after supper. Sunday breakfast is at 7:30 AM followed by a devotional.

If you stay over until Sunday, you are welcome to enjoy the beauty of Joy of Living throughout the morning.

This weekend is critical to getting camp in shape for the arrival of our staff (June 4th) and campers (June 12th). Your work weekend efforts will produce spiritual fruit this summer.

Please complete the volunteer form below to let us know you're coming. We'll house you and feed you and put you to work! If you have a specific skillset, please indicate it below.
